New Presents

I am so lucky to have such a talented father and husband.  Their work is so beautiful and I am fortunate to be able to display their pieces in my home.  It is so special to have something that is handmade.  These are my most prized posessions.  Here are some picture of my latest acquisitions.

This is a vegetable bin that dad made for Christmas.  I love the tip out bins.  It's going to get a lot of use this summer when our garden grows.  We are still storing some of the last onions to come out of our garden. 

Tim has recently started doing some woodwork as well.  He made me this beautiful jewelry box.  It was supposed to be for my birthday but he couldn't wait to give it to me, so it was my Valentine's Day present.  The divided tray is suspended and there is storage underneath.  He lined the tray and bottom with some green velvet.  Can't wait to store my treasures in it!

And I just received this tip-out trash bin from my dad for my birthday.  The door tips out and stays open on it's own for easier access.  There is a little drawer on the bottom to hold trash bags.  And dad use some decorative pieces of trim on the corners.  This will definately keep the cat out of the garbage!
