New Year's

We were in Billings for New Year's Eve this year. We had to go down to get some supplies for work and some of our friends were there too so we decided to meet up for dinner. We ate at the Bin 119. Had never been there before. It was quite good! Had a wonderful seafood dinner and Tim had some lamb chops. Always enjoy a delicious meal!

This weekend, Tim's sisters and their husbands came for a visit and stayed with us. We enjoyed a lot of good food once again! After church on Saturday we made a great meal of Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi! Tim made Banana's Foster for dessert. After dinner, Bob and Carol showed us a new nice game called Right, Left, Center. We had a great time gambling! We shared a lot of laughs!

On Sunday morning we all went over to Marvin and Cindy's for brunch with the whole family. It was great having his family over for a visit. Always entertaining!!

Christmas 2009

We had quite an eventful Christmas week. The day before Christmas Eve we spent the afternoon with Joni and the boys. We decided to make the boys their gifts this year. Tim made Laine a beautiful little rocking horse. It turned out so cute! I think he's only had one little accident so far, but I think he'll get a kick out of it!

I made Landon some little blocks out of redwood 2x2's. I used some right scrapbooking letters then printed out some little pictures to correspond with each letter. He thought they worked pretty good as a target for his dart gun when they were all stacked up. Either way I think he will have fun with those!

Christmas Eve morning we opened our gifts from eachother, followed by our traditional biscuits and gravy breakfast! We stopped over at Marvin and Cindy's and had a real nive visit. We then headed to church in Raynesford, then on to mom and dad's. We had our yearly Christmas Eve feast of crab legs and shrimp! We look forward to that every year. We've been doing that for over 10 years and is a tradition I will never tire of! We then opened our presents from mom and dad.

We spent Christmas Day at my aunt Dauna and Uncle Pete's. As usual there was plently of yummy stuff to eat. It was a nice relaxing day. The men took naps and some of us played a few games. It was a real nice day.

Red Lodge

We just got back from a wonderful 1st anniversary trip to Red Lodge. We stayed at the Rock Creek Resort. This weekend was their annual Christmas Stroll so we took in the festivities on Friday night. It was really cold but that didn't slow people down at all! There was a short little parade where people decorated their snowplows. We enjoyed alot of tasty treats and some good eggnog and cider.

On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at a little Pub to watch the Griz destroy Stephen F. Austin! It was a fun game to watch. It was filled with Griz fans! Saturday night we had a great dinner at The Pollard hotel.

Then on Sunday we stopped on Billings on the way back and had lunch with Tim's sister and her husband and son. For dinner I made Chicken Piccata and we had a bottle of wine that was given to us as a wedding gift. It was a very memorable weekend, and look forward to many, many more happy anniversaries!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. This year Tim and I decided to host my family at our house. The whole family was able to come which was great since it's been awhile since we've all been able to get together. As usual, there was way too much yummy food, but we all gave it our best try! In the afternoon the men went shooting for awhile. They did manage to get a skunk, so that's something I guess. The women stayed behind and played games. And all the little boys were so cute and were very good. We have 4 little boys in the family now ranging from 3 years to just over a week old. It's going to be so cute to see them all together playing in a couple years. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are hoping to put up Christmas lights this afternoon. Tis the season! Happy Halloween!

This last weekend was another busy one for us. On Friday night we traveled to Butte where we met Sarah and Jimmy and attended the Rodney Carrington show. It was so much fun. My cheeks hurt from laughing so much. It was a very entertaining show. After that we traveled to Missoula and watched the Griz kick some Weber State booty on Saturday! That night Sarah and Jimmy had a great Halloween party at their house. Lots of good food, great costumes and of course, more laughs!

Barn Building

The past two weeks we have been busy building a horse barn here in the Gap. It's been going up pretty quickly until yesterday when the weather changed. We are supposed to be hanging tin but will have to put that on hold for now. We got the walls and trusses up and have tin on two and half walls. Just the way it goes sometimes. But we have plenty to keep up busy until we can get back to the barn.

Griz Weekend

We finally made it over for a Griz game this year. And we actually got mom and dad to come as well. They hadn't been over for a game in 3 years, so we thought it was about time for a family adventure. Tim and I went over on Thursday and stayed with Jim and Sarah. Friday we met up with mom and dad and we all had lunch together. Then mom, Tim, Sarah, the boys and I headed to campus to purchase new Grizzly wear. While on campus, we visited the Pulitzer Prize winning photographs they had on display. Afterwards was more shopping, a very filling yet delicious meal and some relaxation.

Saturday morning, we met mom and dad at the Press Box, as is tradition, for their breakfast buffet and Bloody Mary's. We headed over to the tailgates and met up with some other Stanfordites. It was a beautiful game day, and of course an exciting game. Griz won 41 to 34! Tim still refuses to wear any Griz gear, but we did get him to use a grizzly koozie. Small steps!

It was a real fun weekend and it was great to be back in Missoula!
